Best noted as the flick where Kevin Bacon and Kyra Sedgwick first met.
accomplishes what it sets out to with only a few subtle hiccups, and for that it should be applauded
I just saw this movie and still trying to absorb it all. First, it has a great story about a guy who goes to live with a father, and his family, who abandoned him a long time ago. I thought Bacon was excellent as well as the other cast. It just was all over the place. The actors stop and talk to the camera at various times, almost like a stage play. The movie also goes forward and backward in time, so one feels a little disconnect with the story and where it is. Bacon made you feel for him as he finally feels a part of a family, but then everything just seems to fall apart around him.
